Vivian has been coaching Tots, Mighty Mites, and Junior Academy at SCATS for 14 years! As the program supervisor of our pre-school aged students, she is responsible for planning weekly lessons, training coaches, and organizing many of our special events and activities.

Tara competed as both a Level 10 and NCAA gymnast for Central Michigan University and has been with SCATS since 2006. As Program Supervisor for general program students 5 years and older, she is responsible for staff development and advanced training, Summer Camp and pre-team organization, and the pairing of kids with coaches that are most conducive to their learning, experience and personalities!

Shannon has been developing comeptitive gymnasts at SCATS since 2006. She comes to us from Cal State Fullerton where she was a coach after retiring from collegiate gymnastics.
Favorite part of the job: "I love seeing how excited the kids are about gymnastics, the smiles on their faces, and how a simple 'high five' can mean so much."

A former SCATS gymnast himself, Michael began as one of our Tots in 1991! He worked his way up through our competitive program to Level 6 alongside such renown SCATS gymnasts and National Team Members as Glenn Ishino, Pierson Gruettner and Jason Chu.

Mitch has been a part of the SCATS family since 1985! He began as a general program student over 25 years ago and worked his way through our competitive program up to Level 10, earning placement in many USAG sanctioned State and Regional competitions. Mitch proudly gives back to the sport what it gave him and is now developing Level 5 & 6 boys at SCATS to become part of our unmatched legacy in men's gymnastics!

Cindy has been coaching SCATS' youngest children for more than 20 years! Cindy works with Toddlers, Mighty Mites, and special needs children of all ages. She is also our Birthday Party Coordinator.
Favorite part of the job: "I really enjoy watching all of the children grow and the excitement in their faces when they learn a new skill. The silly things they do to make me laugh are what have kept me here for over 20 years."

Courtney is a former gymnast who began coaching for SCATS since 2006. She works with the general program classes, our accelerated "Take 2" classes as well as our GYM Team.
Favorite part of the job: "Spending time with each child and teaching them new skills so he or she can go home and say, 'Look what I learned!'"

Elizabeth has a love of children and an excellent way of teaching. In addition to running our Holiday Camps, she teaches our Mighty Mites and Junior Academy Girls.
Favorite part of the job: "I really love seeing my students' progress, watching them improve and learn new skills."

Joel has been working with SCATS for over 8 years. Formerly a competitive gymnast, Joel has a genuine love of the sport that shines through in his teaching.
There is nothing in the gym that Joel cannot coach — from Mighty Mites to Tumbling and everything in between.
Favorite part of the job: "Seeing the kids finally learn a skill they've been working so hard on. I'm fortunate to have some great and entertaining students — they make me laugh!"

A former SCATS Level 10 gymnast, Kara has taken her love for the sport through college as an NCAA gymnast for Cal State Fullerton and now an accelerated program coach back at SCATS! Kara has been coaching at SCATS since 2008 and is working on her graduate degree in physical therapy.

Charles has coached gymnastics in Orange County for well over a decade and has been instrumental in developing fun-filled gymnastics summer camp programs. He now instructs kids of all ages at SCATS including our accelerated "Take 2" classes as well as GYM Team.

Kendel has serving the SCATS' customers for 30 years — that's right, 30 YEARS!
She enjoys watching her grandchildren participate in gymnastics, and gets a kick out of seeing the kids of former SCATS gymnasts attend!
