Thank you to all the SCATS families that came out to the 115th Annual(!) Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade this year and showed your support for the gym and our community! Our “Superheroes of SCATS” themed parade float was a big hit, second only to our performing SCATS Team Members who were in full costume, swinging giants and doing handstands all down the parade route.
Fortunately, the earthquake didn’t disrupt the parade itself, however, the ABC 7 coverage we usually enjoy live each year was diverted over to their newsroom for reports on the shake-up. You can still check out some of the video they grabbed online, though.
A special thanks goes out to our staff and SCATS families who worked very hard to make our float something truly special this and every year, and of course our SCATS Team for being the super stars of the show. You all rule!
If you’ve never attended the HB Parade, make sure to stop by next time around. It’s actually the largest Independence Day parade west of the Mississippi, and it’s a fun way for the family to spend the day prior to the BBQs & fireworks shows.
